Overall a 5 star experience! The room was simple but very clean. The heated pool was great and we were able to comfortably swim in 70 degree weather. The staff was beyond helpful and accommodating. There was food within walking distance. This was a great location before our Disney cruise, with only an $8 uber ride to the port.

Royal Palms = Unexpected Perfection This boutique hotel is absolutely amazing. I was genuinely not prepared for how comfortable the bed was — easily one of the best sleeps I’ve ever had in my life. Completely unexpected and now slightly ruining other hotels for me. The courtyard and pool area are incredible. It’s the kind of place where you could live nearby and still come just to relax for the afternoon. Calm, beautiful, and effortlessly cool. Everything about the place feels thoughtful and well done, and I’m already planning a return. Highly recommend if you want comfort, charm, and a stay that actually feels special.

Stayed here the evening before a cruise after travelling from the UK. I would describe it as a motel rather than hotel. The location is ideal for a beach holiday as it’s a 2 minute walk away. Our room was airy and clean with a large walk in shower. The cruise terminal is 20 mins drive by taxi. The manager was very helpful and friendly. It’s part of a hotel complex. The area we stayed in had a lovely courtyard garden with a small swimming pool. If you turn right out of the hotel entrance, continue along the road for a few minutes and you’ll find Archibald’s bakery. The food here was superb, reasonably priced with large portions.

The staff was lively and very helpful. The neat little bar in the center of the property was a sweet and unexpected perk. We highly recommend and will be back the next time we’re in town.

Surprised by the mixed reviews, our stay was great. Clean spacious room, great location by the water, cute immediate surroundings with coffee shops and morning breakfast options, and a pool with a bar. All the basics are here. Wasn’t looking for a luxury stay with amenities, just a good location and clean, comfortable place to sleep. Only complaint is the gym was closed and we were on the main level next to a kitchen back door so the mornings were a bit noisy, but easily solved with earplugs. Would stay again.

I loved our stay at the Royal Palms. It’s a true peaceful sanctuary in the middle of high rises. The owners have maintained the style and vibe of its mid century origins. Even on our first visit it felt comfortable and nostalgic, like a summer vacation spot I’ve visited for years. My first and lasting opinion is the next season of The White Lotus should be filmed here. The beach is mere steps away, maybe a block? The Royal Palms kindly supplies beach chairs and beach towels (don’t pay $20 per chair per day for the blue ones). The staff was very attentive. If you need anything and no one is at the front desk at the moment just ring the doorbell at the office door (blue light) and someone will help you in no time. We enjoyed the big rooms and the most amazing showers. There are two gorgeous pools if the ocean isn’t your thing, an onsite bar and plenty of lounge chairs, some shaded, some not, as well as some outdoor tables and chairs. The resort manages to stay extremely quiet even though it’s in the middle of the city. In fact it’s quieter than my suburban neighborhood, no car doors slamming, no trash pickup, nobody rolling trashcans to and from the curb or school busses passing by - it was amazing! If you are traveling with young children, especially those who aren’t accomplished swimmers, be sure to say so when booking. The pools are so pretty but aren’t surrounded by fencing. There are plenty of rooms away from the pool. As others have mentioned there are some great coffee shops and vintage stores just down the road, take a right out of the RP gates and there is plenty to offer. This beautiful oasis is convenient to Port Everglades, the airport, the beach, and to transportation. Unless you just want to stay in a cookie cutter chain hotel you’ll love The Royal Palms Resort.

Love the place. Great location, so close to beach... rooms are perfect, pool area so nice, everyone is friendly. Just a great place to stay and right next to the much pricier hotels...spend your money on the great food everywhere close
